# YouTube Community Posts API

Fetches a channel's community tab posts including text, attachment type, like and comment counts and post date, in English. Reads up to about 450 recent posts per channel.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `channels` | array | Yes | One or more YouTube channel IDs to fetch community posts for. |
| `maxResults` | integer | No | How many posts to return in total across all channels, shared evenly between them. Defaults to 50; use 0 for all. Each channel is read up to 50 pages (about 450 most recent posts), so very active channels may return fewer posts than their full history. |

## Example

`?wait=true` holds the request open until the run finishes (up to 60s) and returns the rows inline: one request, no polling.

## Longer runs

If the run is still going at the 60s ceiling you get back `{ job_id, status: "running" }` instead of rows (same if the result is over 100 rows; those come back `truncated`). Poll with that `job_id`:
