# GitHub Repositories Trending API

Trending GitHub repositories with rank, description, language, stars and forks. Filter by language and daily, weekly or monthly period.

**Pricing:** $0.0015 per repository

**Endpoint:** `POST /v1/data/github/repositories-trending/run`

**Auth:** `Authorization: Bearer mk_live_...`

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
|-----------|------|----------|-------------|
| `language` | string | No | Programming language to filter by, e.g. python, javascript, rust. Leave empty for all languages. |
| `period` | string | No | Trending today, this week or this month. Today by default. |
| `spokenLanguage` | string | No | Spoken language of the repositories as a two-letter code, e.g. en, zh, es. Leave empty for all. |
| `maxResults` | integer | No | How many repositories to return in total. Defaults to 25 (the maximum per run); use 0 for all. |

## Example

`?wait=true` holds the request open until the run finishes (up to 60s) and returns the rows inline: one request, no polling.

## Longer runs

If the run is still going at the 60s ceiling you get back `{ job_id, status: "running" }` instead of rows (same if the result is over 100 rows; those come back `truncated`). Poll with that `job_id`:
