# G2 Reviews API

Extract G2 software reviews for any product: star rating, title, what the reviewer liked and disliked, full text, reviewer role and company size, newest first

**Pricing:** $0.004 per review

**Endpoint:** `POST /v1/data/g2/reviews/run`

**Auth:** `Authorization: Bearer mk_live_...`

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
|-----------|------|----------|-------------|
| `products` | array | Yes | G2 product review URLs (https://www.g2.com/products/notion/reviews) or bare product slugs (notion). One per line. |
| `maxResults` | integer | No | How many reviews to return per product. Defaults to 50; use 0 for all. |
| `sortBy` | string | No | The order G2 lists the reviews in before Max Results is applied. Newest first by default. |
| `stars` | array | No | Only reviews in these G2 star buckets; a bucket holds its half star too (4 stars covers 3.5 and 4). Pick one value, or a run that starts at 1 or ends at 5 (4 and 5 means 4 stars and up). Leave empty for all. |
| `reviewsNewerThan` | date | No | Only reviews published on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD), up to 10 years back. Reviews then come newest first, so Sort By must be left at Newest first. |

## Example

`?wait=true` holds the request open until the run finishes (up to 60s) and returns the rows inline: one request, no polling.

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.mindcase.co/v1/data/g2/reviews/run?wait=true" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer mk_live_YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"params":{"products":["..."]}}'
```

```python
import requests
resp = requests.post(
    "https://api.mindcase.co/v1/data/g2/reviews/run",
    params={"wait": "true"},
    headers={"Authorization": "Bearer mk_live_YOUR_API_KEY"},
    json={"params": {
    "products": [
        "..."
    ]
}},
)
rows = resp.json()["data"]
```

## Longer runs

If the run is still going at the 60s ceiling you get back `{ job_id, status: "running" }` instead of rows (same if the result is over 100 rows; those come back `truncated`). Poll with that `job_id`:

```bash
# 1) check status
curl https://api.mindcase.co/v1/jobs/JOB_ID \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer mk_live_YOUR_API_KEY"
# 2) when status == completed, fetch the rows
curl https://api.mindcase.co/v1/jobs/JOB_ID/results \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer mk_live_YOUR_API_KEY"
```
